SEASONS OF HOLLISTER HILL FARM
Farm-related activities that annuallly occur on our farm:
WINTER

Our winters are usually long, cold and snowy. The animals usually require more attention during the cold weather. It can be a challenge to keep their waterers working, the driveways plowed, and the house cozy and warm. But...there is a lot more time to play!
-
Cross-country ski or snowshoe on our 200 acre farm (we have some equipment available to our guests).
-
Snowmobile, as our property borders the V.A.S.T. trail system.
-
Relax by the fire in our cozy common room with a warm beverage or glass of wine.
MAPLE SYRUP SEASON
March – April

-
Help tap trees and set out buckets.
-
Gather sap.
-
Boil and make syrup on our wood-fired sugar arch.
(Sugaring season is very dependent on the weather and temperature, so it is hard to predict when we will actually have a sap flow and make syrup.)
